You Talk, I Write Service
Some experts are really good at talking about what they know … but not very good at writing about it. This is where my You Talk, I Write service comes in handy. You get to talk about what you know and a week (or less) later you get a written blog post, article or report ready to do what ever you want to do with it! This saves you time, aggravation and helps you get things on your to do list done in an effective, time-efficient manner.
This is how it works:
- You send me some questions via email that you want me to ask you.
- At an agreed upon time, you call into a conference line. I interview you using the questions you gave me and record the call.
- I get the audio transcribed.
- I edit the document into something you’d be proud to post or distribute and send it to you, along with the unedited audio recording.
Pricing
Single article or report only:
- 15-minute interview – $75
- 20-minute interview – $100
- 25-minute interview – $125
Single article or report and edited audio file:
If you’d like a clean audio that you can distribute, I can edit out ums, ahs, extra-long pauses, technical glitches and the like.
- 15-minute interview – $155
- 20-minute interview – $200
- 25-minute interview – $255
If you’d like to do one interview and have it result in multiple blog posts or articles, add $25 for each additional article. For example, if you decide to do a 15-minute interview and would like two blog posts created from that, your cost would be $100 for articles only and $180 for articles and single edited audio file.
Longer interviews can be arranged. I can also edit the audio into multiple files. Contact me for an estimate on these additional services.
Rules
To receive the prices listed above the following rules must be followed:
- Questions must be emailed in advance of the call.
- You must arrive on time or give a 24-hour advanced notice to reschedule.
- You must use a landline if you want an edited copy of the audio.
- You must stick to the time limit you paid for, within 3 minutes.
If any of these rules are not followed, I will charge you $75/hour (billed by the minute) for any additional time I need to spend working with you on this project.

If you need help developing questions, we can have a pre-recording consultation call. I charge $50 for a 30-minute consultation, payable in advance. I have been interviewing people for more than 20 years and have honed my skill for asking good questions. My Guarantee
You will receive an excellent quality, well-edited document that you can use in any way you wish. You retain all copy rights and ownership of the content. Regardless of which package you decide to purchase, you will receive an unedited copy of the audio in either .wav or .mp3 format.
If you are not satisfied with the editing, you can have revisions made for up to 30 days after receiving the final document, with a maximum of 3 revision cycles — all free of additional charges.
Sometimes, the audio quality of a recording just isn’t up to par for distributing to clients. If I feel this is the case, I will give you the opportunity to decide if you still want me to edit it or not. If you decide not to go forward with the editing, I will refund you the difference between the w/out audio and w/audio pricing.
Complementary Services
- Typsetting and formatting – I can design and typeset your special report so that it looks nice, matches your brand and makes and excellent product or opt-in incentive.
- E-covers – I can design an e-cover to go along with your special report
- Slide-show style videos – I can create a slide-show style video using your edited audio as a sound track, ready to upload to YouTube, Vimeo or any other online video hosting site.
- Formatting and submitting to Kindle and Nook – I can format your special report so that it easily uploads to the Kindle or Nook publishing sites, as well as submit them for you.
