If you are creative in your business or career, you are a creative professional.
There are those who are obviously creative professionals:

And there are those who are not so obvious, such as coaches, speakers, entrepreneurs. Basically, if your business is an expression … in some way … of your creativity, then you are a creative professional.
How do you define “online presence”?
Sometimes this term is referred to as an “online footprint” or “web presence.” Your online presence includes all mentions of you and/or your business on the web. Some of this you have control over; some of it you don’t. Here are some things that go into making up your online footprint.
Those You Have Some Control Over
- Your website(s)
- Your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Your articles posted to article directories
- Your activity in online forums
- Your participation in online events
- Your comments on other people’s blog posts
Those You Don’t Have Control Over
- What people say about you and your business in social media
- Comments people make about you and your business in online forums
- Mentions of you in other people’s blogs
- Fan sites and “anti-fan” sites
How do you help creative professionals build and nurture a thriving online presence?
I help you develop a strategy (or set of strategies) that will leverage those parts of your online footprint you have control over so that they support your goals and move you closer to them. I also help you set up systems and procedures for monitoring those parts of your online footprint you don’t have control over and responding in a positive manner that leverages positive mentions and ameliorates or even transforms negative messages into positive outcomes.
In other words, I help you make the best of what’s out there so that your overall online footprint supports you, your business or career, and the direction you want to go.
