What’s in a Name?
CRIIS Promotes Information Sharing
City of Hope holds the distinction of being the first free-standing Cancer Center to be awarded an Integrated Advanced Information Management Systems (IAIMS) Planning Grant. “CRIIS”, which stands for Clinical and Research Integrated Information Systems, is the unique name chosen by City of Hope for its IAIMS program.
IAIMS is a program sponsored by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to fund and promote the development of fully integrated computer systems in academic settings. CRIIS’S primary purpose will be to support the global vision of City of Hope as being patient-centered, research-driven, and business-oriented. Because the CRIIS program will continue to grow beyond IAIMS grant funding, it’s important for us to build the CRIIS name recognition. So, spread the word!
