I’ve always been a some what shy and introverted person. So imagine my amazement when my high school speech coach asked me to join the Speech Team. I tentatively agreed, but after I got 5th place in my first competition, I became hooked. I’ve been addicted to public speaking ever since.

My senior year I earned a block in speech and later I joined Toastmasters and earned my CTM — Competent Toastmaster — award. I even went half-way toward earning my ATM — Able Toastmaster — award, but have taken a several-year hiatus from Toastmasters.
